When the smoke is cleared after grim work of Surt,
When the blood of the past has saturized the dirt.

It is he who survived without saying a word,
If heroism is a ship, then he be the bird

Avenger of the father, and slayer of the Fenrir,
The rekindler of all the bold ones hold dear.

In the old times your strength only by rivaled by Thor,
Through your valour, will survive the lore!

In Lascaux the heroes of the first era paid honor it's due,
Let heroes of the third era ignite this flame anew.

We who suffocate under the weight of many lies,
We who swim to the surface while the world dies.

Like you, we prepare with the scraps that others throw away,
To march unfraid to the norns decreed day.

"You have the courage to kill, but do you have the courage to die?"
Let these words on lips be Midgard's warcry!

Hail Vidarr!

Bjorn, I like your mention of the leather scraps. I thought it was interesting when I read the Gylfaginning that it said anyone who is concerned with the gods and Ragnarok can save their leather shoe scraps to assist Vidarr in slaying Fenrir. It is interesting because I can't think of another place where it directly says, "You can give THIS to the gods." Thanks for writing.
