I believed you asked for victorious death, yes? I wrote this for you a bit ago.

Rise and Rise

Death comes
in swinging blows
merciless battle fields
made over-green with
the blood of men,
the slaying of dreams.
The beaten and scarred
rise and rise
against ever increasing tides
rise and rise-
the Raven Flag flies
rise and rise
you may die
but victory calls
clear
you will die
but not before
you
rise and rise.
Victory is tasted
on the tips of bruised fingers,
in the iron of blood in your mouth
and the never failing promise to
rise and rise.

Thank you. I have never had any one write a poem for me before. I can't explain how that made me feel.
Thank you. I am at a total loss of words. Thank you.

I feel that I am at a disadvantage on this site compared to you. You can say so much with so little, and I have no way to repay the gesture to you in an equivelant manner.

no thanks needed. I just took a break from my work and thought of your request and penned that quick. Not my normal subject of writing, but I hope you enjoyed it all the same.

It is rather eerily appropriate that you wrote it as you did. It's like you already knew something that you were never told. It's strange how you sent my heart racing with that poem. Few things get me worked up anymore. I don't think you understand how powerful that was and the emotions it triggered.

it seems to be a bit of a gift on my end, when I'm listening like I should be ;)

I'm glad you liked it

A riddle for WarHorse

Secrets hide in plain sight.
I know a few. A few more than you.
You missed the answer you sought
even though it was right below eye level.
I have an answer,
but not the one I sought.

I have been thinking on this one awhile... The problem is that I am not certain what answer I missed, unless it's the answer to this riddle... ;-)

I thought you were different from other girls, RavenCall. Always with the mind games and screwing with my head... ;-)

it was indeed the answer to the larger riddle. Hidden in plain sight- a sight you saw but did not see.

Don't mind me, I just like testing your cleverness ;)

And it's nicer than throwing something at your head and blatantly pointing out what you missed, lol.

All too often people fail to realize how much it is needed from time to time.

I agree Tyrsman. I only use my serious face when its absolutely warranted lol. Perhaps one of the few things about me that cannot be properly conveyed through text alone.

It's just nice too see somebody else learning something I discovered long ago - engaging in wordplay with a highly skilled poet is not exactly choosing your battles wisely ;)
