A Practice: Wotan's Names

I've never heard of this, but there's a practice I've gotten into. There are about 200 names for Wotan in the old writings. I selected 81 of these (9x9) that resonate with me. Then, as part of my praying, I recite the whole list as a chant. Presently, I use the names in English, but you can find lists featuring the Old Norse on the Net.

The names give one an appreciation of the Alfodr's many aspects---his not-to-be-grasped character. A welcome alternative to the glib, "God is love" slogan.

I do something similar; especially during Yule.
