Note: The reason I post my poetry to the lore section is because not only does it deal with the lore, but I feel a strong connection to my poetry, and whenever I read it, it reminds me of why I am an Odinist, and by posting it on here, I hope it to be seen more so that someone else might obtain that same feeling. This poem is my favorite so far. I hope you enjoy, and please leave feedback.

Ginnungagap - By Conall O'Mordha

Death and life coexist in truth,
from all death life stems anew,
From all life death will reign in sooth.
Endless cycle through and through,

As the winter’s solstice foretells,
from the summer’s solstice shall dwell,
like Baldur’s grave death that had spelled,
as he witnesses trapped in Hel,

From high noon’s reign downfall ensured.
Darkened ways mankind is allured,
Ragnarok shows form, less obscured,
Surtr’s triumph he shall procure,

Fear not of death’s strengthened embrace,
fight until your last breath gives,
Endless cycle we all must face,
All that dies shall again live,

Hunters live by codes of wisdom,
for their life to be, death must come,
for summer to breath, winter must thrum,
the strings of death, as life succumbs,

Endless dark abyss takes it’s hold,
From those depths life fills in the mould,
Muspelheim and niflheim behold,
Ginnungagap’s power unfold.

Excellent poem and does tug quite a bit on the proverbial Odinist heart strings
