There have been a lot of excellent posts lately that I have sorely wanted to comment on but have not been able to due to my current situation. Some here are aware but for those that are new and have not stumbled across my previous posts about it, for the past three years my wife has been battling cancer. That battle is nearing an end and I have been spending more and more time caring for her and will continue to do so for as long as I still have her.

I anticipate that for the next few weeks my forum activity will continue suffer but I will resume correspondence when I am able. Thanks for your understanding.

Tyrsman, family is most important. I'm glad you are being there for your wife/family. My thoughts will be with you, sir.

Tyrsman, your wife is fortunate to have you by her side.

Osred Jameson in Australia and Stephen McNallen and Mark Mirabello in the USA also are fighting cancer. The disease is clearly the troll of the modern age.

I am so sorry, tyrsman. My thoughts are with you and your wife. It is a sad and terrible disease to watch your loved ones endure, speaking from experience. I wish there were words that could lessen the pain and burden of this ordeal. I suppose all anyone can do is make the most of the time they have.

Thank you my friends, your thoughts are truly appreciated. I will continue to post periodically but it may take a while until I can get my mind to focus very well so I ask that you overlook any lack of quality thoughts from me.

That is extremely disheartening. My thoughts are with them all.

Eir be with you both in this trying time. I understand she is not Odinist, but regardless, I hope that she suffers little and that this time of transition is filled with peace and comfort for you both.

I am sorry for your pain and hers, Tyrsman.

My sweet and beautiful wife of 26 years passed away yesterday morning. I'm doing better than I had anticipated by keeping busy with all the associated tasks and duties but there is a huge hole in my life and my heart is heavy.

I'll continue to be in and out of the forum for a while longer but will make every attempt to assist with new members.

I hope her passing was peaceful and you are able to find balance in this time- take all the time you need; real life always comes first.

Thank you my friends.
I'm finding that it's a good time to put into practice the advice to "Be strong when you are weak and brave when you are afraid" - it's difficult but it seems to be the best option.

Thankfully it was peaceful. I held her hand as she went to sleep and slipped away. I know balance will return eventually, I just have to "fake it until I can make it" so to speak.

Tyrsman, in the future, may you and your wife find one another on 'the other side."

Thank you Fand, Gwain, OB, and RedSon as well as all who have provided support during this time of sorrow. It is a wound that will take a long time to heal and it will leave a scar that will always be there.
